Ford Motor Co. is combining analysis and philanthropy with a pilot program that can use autonomous shuttles to ship 10,000 kilos of recent meals to mobility-challenged older adults in Detroit.

The six-month program will double the quantity of free meals that can go to residents of a residing heart for older folks close to Michigan Central Station, which Ford is renovating into the center of a brand new innovation campus.

The car’s exterior design, representing the Southwest Detroit neighborhood, was created by Brooke Snow, a Twelfth-grade scholar on the Detroit College of Arts. Ford awarded Snow $5,000, which she plans to make use of towards faculty bills.
