HMSI posts 35 computer decline in two-wheeler gross sales to 2,80,381 models for Nov

Honda Bike and Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday reported an almost 35 per cent year-on-year decline in two-wheeler gross sales to 2,80,381 models for November.

Provide-side problem, season coupled with subdued festive season gross sales, have been among the many components impacting the volumes in November, HMSI stated in a press release.

The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler had offered a complete 4,33,207 models, together with exports, in November 2020, the corporate stated.

Home gross sales fell almost 38 per cent to 2,56,170 automobiles within the earlier month as in contrast with 4,12,642 automobiles in November 2020, it stated.

Nonetheless, exports through the month rose 18 per cent to 24,211 automobiles as in opposition to 20,565 models shipped out in the identical month final 12 months, the corporate stated.

“Including to the supply-side problem of chip scarcity within the latest previous and a subdued festive season, low market sentiments have continued to prevail within the month of November,” stated Yadvinder Singh Guleria, director (gross sales and advertising and marketing) of Honda Bike & Scooter India Pvt Ltd.

“Nonetheless, we expect some revival in market sentiments by final quarter of FY21-22,” he added.
